It was a three and a half week journey...here are my top 20 pictures. Not all the things we did nor the best "picture" pictures, but 20 that best represent the fun and adventure we had.
Mainly with these 2...cousins (2nd cousins really) Livvy and Cole. We stayed with them primarily for our NY stay and this is what they did the most...swim.
From the first second we got to their house...they were in the pool..hours and hours at a time. Come to think about it, I am not sure how we accomplished anything else.
Of course we did...like shopping...
and Chuckie Cheeses on a rainy day.
We went to the Sciencenter in Ithaca, NY...
and the Renaissance Festival in Sterling with cousin Liz.
We stayed with Uncle Don a couple nights and had loads of fun staying up late playing games with all her older cousins that Amelia proclaimed was the "funniest day ever".
Made our annual trip to Skaneateles, NY with Liz, Andrea and Uncle Don. Ice cream, shopping and boat watching, before picking up dinner at Doug's Fish Fry...best fish ever...don't fool yourself that there is anything better.
Early in the trip, Andrea joined us for a road adventure to Albany, NY. My niece Kate had an overnight conference to go to so why not bring the kids and join her! So much fun that included meeting up with cousin Adam for dinner at our hotel and heading to the Albany Aquarium. Had so many pics of the 2 days, but this one sums up the adventure pretty well.
Before you knew it we were renting a car and heading south to Ohio to meet up with Dad and see Grammy and Grandpa Art, Grandpa and Oma, and of course...Aunt Natalie.
We headed down to Columbus with Oma and Nat to one of our most favorite places on earth...an American Girl Store. Welcome AG doll Julie to our ever growing pile of stuff to bring home!
There were morning strolls at Grammy's...
...the Mansfield Carousel with Dad and Grammy...
...and painting with Grammy in her studio.
In a week it was time to turn around and head back to NY for a few more days of fun and having a taste of what it's like to have a little brother around 😀
Just like that it was time to head home to the crisp cool, almost Fall air of Alaska where it was almost time to start school.
Miss them already...til next year!
