Christmas 2021: The True Meaning of Christmas by Linus

"I guess you were right Linus. I shouldn't have picked this little tree," said Charlie Brown.

"Everything I do turns into a disaster."

"I guess I don't really know what Christmas is all about."

"Isn't there anyone who knows what Christmas is all about?" asked Charlie Brown.

"Sure, Charlie Brown," said Linus.

"I can tell you what Christmas is all about."

(Linus walks to center stage)

"Lights, please."

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field,

keeping watch over their flock by night.

And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them,

and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:

and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not:

or, behold, I bring you good tiding of great joy,

which shall be to all people.

For unto you is born this day

in the city of David a Saviour,

which is Christ the Lord.

And this shall be a sign unto you;

Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes,

lying in a manger.

And suddenly there was with the angel

a multitude of the heavenly host

praising God, and saying,

Glory to God

in the highest,

and on earth peace,

goodwill

toward men.

(Linus picks up his blanket and shuffles off stage.)

Hope you all had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

A Belated Halloween Update on Christmas Day

Wanted to get this post up before any Christmas posts, so here is an overview of our Halloween.

Our Halloween Card

Although the card showed a witch, she actually dressed up as Katniss from the Hunger Games.  She had changed her mind from being a horseback rider to Katniss at the last minute.

Amelia went with her new friend trick or treating around our neighborhood.

In addition, a bit of pre Halloween fun was had with making a haunted gingerbread house, carving and painting craft pumpkins.

We all are loving the weather here in Illinois...no snow...no cold.   It is our "new" Fall.

Christmas posts to follow!
