Mud Walks
Hot Chocolate
and wheels...
This has pretty much been our week with a few playdates scattered in... until...
So we went back to this...
Sans snow pants of course...I had to fight her for the coat and boots. The temp was at 40 so she was ok until her hands got cold from throwing snowballs with perfect snowball making snow :) No snowmen though...we have had enough.
Since our winter has been teasing us with beautiful sunny weeks, it makes any snowfall more difficult to tolerate, even though we know we live in Alaska and an April without snow would just be ridiculous. Besides, we just got to the point where we could break out the new scooter and take Elsa for a walk. It should all be gone soon ... we hope.
Crossing our fingers that Easter is a sunny spectacular day as I am hoping the Easter Bunny will be hiding eggs outside for the first year ever!
Speaking of Easter...
While the white stuff was falling we did a few projects inside.
Amelia loveeees marshmallows (hot chocolate without marshmallows is not a choice). Last year I did these huge marshmallow eggs that were just a bit too much. This year I thought we should go bite size. Amelia did pretty much everything except melt the chocolate.
The next project, Amelia's job was to glue on the cotton balls.
We put a few up to watch the snow come down in the earlier pic.
I also made a few felt peeps. Found the idea Here. I need a lot more practice sewing! I did learn what a vertical stitch was...will do a few more to see if they turn out neater around the edges.
Finally...the definition of bed head:
and why we were sooooo excited to find this little gadget:
A detangling brush for wet hair. Amelia was ecstatic the first time I used it after her bath. If only they had this when I was little.
Upcoming for this week: Easter prep continues and maybe some ice skating at the mall!
