The Birthday Bash and a Blue Ribbon

It was her first birthday party that wasn't at home.
Due to the earthquake, our house just wasn't up for it.  We had been planning a Lego Party for the past year, but after 11/30 we had to rethink.  She opted for a bowling party...because who doesn't love bowling!

Bought some matching "bowling" shirts and had lots of prizes for non traditional bowling like "bowl like an old person", "slowest bowler" and "high score for frame 7".

We even brought our claw machine to give it the bowling alley game room feel!

Had cake...

opened presents ...

and two hours later it was over.

Although she had a blast with her friends, she said she likes her birthdays at home instead.   I do too.  It was definitely easier (by far), but I miss all the party planning!

Next year we will be ready for the double digit celebration!

Birthday wasn't all we did this past few weeks....

Took home a blue ribbon in her Stem Fair!

You can view her video on her experiment HERE:
