My niece Liz surprised Amelia with a trip just before Christmas.
We headed to Chicago for an overnight.
We had a blast despite the chilly weather and in a flash, Liz headed home and we got to Christmasy things...like making our gingerbread house.
Half of the gingerbread was cracked so we had to resort to a hot glue gun.
In the end, it turned out pretty nice!
Just don't eat it.
On to Christmas Cookies!
This is always a two day event. Make and bake one day then ice them on Christmas Eve. Traditions!
Dad helps with the decorating and really thank goodness as he is all about efficiency! While Amelia and I take an hour to do one...he does ten. We would be there forever if it weren't for him, even though we give him a hard time on creativity.
