Well I did it again. Said I would post regularly and didn't. I am going to place photos of our summer adventures while giving myself a pep talk.

Liz came for a visit as she really wants to move to downtown Chicago. We spent the day in Lincoln Park moseying around different shops. Definitely a great area to live in... if you are into living in a huge city (not me).
Really, I do love keeping this log of our lives, but if I fall back a bit, I get that feeling of too far behind to keep up. We all do this I am sure.
I would like to think I do not procrastinate and I don't. I know this as people around me say I don't.
This is more feeling of being overwhelmed by the task and finding a path of least resistance. I question myself ... is it so important I post on the blog that no one reads? And my answer is always no.
It is not important in the grand scheme, but I enjoy it.

Our usual trip to Ohio where cousins reunite! A trip to Ashland University too. College is coming!
When I actually post, I am elated! Same goes for the YouTube channel. That is another story altogether.
Amelia is older now and sometimes just doesn't want to be plastered on YouTube and while I love posting on all our adventures, it is definitely easier to post on Instagram and to do that, you have to film differently.
Ok, excuses. I can post vertical on YouTube but I feel it is less movie like. I will post on YouTube...I will post on YouTube...I will post on YouTube. Sure. Let's get this post done first shan't we?

Whenever home, we biked, played tennis, read and did crafts and bake. Tie Dye shirts and Rhubarb form our neighbor had us making pies and cakes...including a Rhubarb Dump Cake. So miss our Alaskan Rhubarb!
So I am going to post...when I post. I will feel better if I do that on at least a monthly schedule!
|
My sister came for a visit too! Architectural boat tour, Lincoln Park Zoo and Chicago Botanical Gardens were our stops!
I know if I can catch up, I can make it part of my daily routine. That is my New Years Goal ...to catch up!
This was pretty much our summer. Busy, yet quiet. Days at the barn were scattered in each week, which Foxy the horse enjoyed as well as Amelia and I.
And just like that, Amelia headed back to school.
10th grade ... nope can't believe it.
And since it is now January 2026, I can tell you she is doing fabulous. Stellar in all her classes, loves book club and weekends at the barn. Two more years and we all head to Ohio. Wow, that will be some blog post...retiring, college and moving. Stay tuned. In the meantime, I will work on Fall 2025! Halloween and any adventures that happened. Of course, will post on our Christmas...eventually.
