I realized I hadn't posted on a couple things pre-Halloween that I should have, but didn't want to let a week go by without sharing Halloween Day/Night. I will do them in reverse :)
If you didn't recognize her costume, she is Korra of The Legend of Korra that used to be on Nickelodeon that we watch on Amazon now that the series is over. She is the Avatar ... air, water, earth and fire bender extraordinaire. Try to find THAT costume! Had to make it.
We had a bit of a photo shoot before heading over to her friend's house.
After pizza and a delicious beef stew...we were ready!
This is what happens when you say "Stop moving! Focus!" Everyone has a different idea on what to focus on...even Lulu the Princess Holding Dog.
We had quite a bit of snow a week or so ago, but luckily it completely melted at our house due to the inversion phenomenon and was almost gone down below. Unfortunately the wet roads and slop turned slippery as the night progressed.
But we trekked on!
Until candy was overflowing and we all headed back.
Amelia's treat was to actually hand out candy! Since where we live, trick or treaters are non existent due to the mountain side, Amelia has never had the thrill of handing out candy. Thanks LaMarche family (especially Sadie) for a great ending to the night!
Time to go home and count the candy...
Note: Today Amelia stayed home from school. She complained of a stomach ache which I assumed was because of eating candy the night before (even though she hadn't eaten that much nor ate much of anything the day before). No fever, so I said I am sure you will be fine as the day goes on. We had just opened the door to head to the car when she gave me the "I am going to be sick" look and we made a dash to the bathroom. Yep, the stomach bug got to her ... just in the nick of time I would say or she might have done that in school :( She is better now and resting and says she doesn't want any candy for a long time. Oh sure.
