Our Alaskan Summer So Far

We have had such a relaxing summer so far.   Other than our piano, skating and swimming lessons, we have tried to enjoy being home for the summer with playdates here and there, baking, crafts...just nothing but old fashioned hanging around.  Amelia said she loves it...I do to.

Here is a bit so far...

A momma moose came by.  As I opened our squeaky door, I got the death stare from her.

Then she promptly left...kid in tow.

Lots of fun in her playroom including Barbies and American Girls.

Painting outside.

A trip to the zoo with one of her besties.

And more bestie playdates.

Cooking and baking is one of her serious passions it appears.

Although I frequently wonder if she just wants to make something so she can snack.

She has been obsessed (a bit later than everyone else I'd say) with the movie Descendants.
We had to bake a cake from scratch for Evie.

One of our annual picnics on the deck was in order.

She ate a container of strawberries in one sitting...hence her favorite fruit.

Summer Mermaid hair.

Crafting some items for her American Girl...an outfit from the Dizzy of the Descendent's fame.  We have been watching a YouTube channel called American Girl Ideas and it has been inspiring!

We did do a Tag-A-Long trip to the Kenai with Rob this past week and will post on that soon.

Stay cool!  A few weeks til our great NY/OH trip!
