We had pondered getting married at Malabar Farm, like Bogart and Becall. We ended up choosing nearby Mohican Resort . Each are favorites to visit when we return to Ohio. Dinner with dear friends at the Mohican earlier and a trip with Grandpa to Malabar made it complete.
(update: added the above photo after downloading my take along canon. At dinner at the Mohican they had a snake demonstration and Amelia, June and Miles were mesmerized....not so sure about Grandpa Mallory)
Amelia is fascinated by all things farm related, so the gift shop and museum not being open didn't mater. Although fascinated by it all, much like at my sister's, to actually be at a farm with live animals is a bit frightening. She wants to see them, wants to watch them...but only from a distance...kinda like Santa. I am afraid our daughter is ... a scaredy cat.
We had a short, but wonderful time, even though Amelia's face says otherwise. She clung to Dad until she was plopped back in her car seat :) It was all she talked about for the rest of the day.
Next: Back to NY for Cowboy Snowmen
and Christmas Cookies
