The Beginning of our Journey...the Carousel

It has been a whirlwind of a month and needed a few days to unpack, put away and download the nearly 1,300 pictures I took.  I am getting back to routine it seems, although the Christmas decorations are still up.

I figured I would post about our trip in increments as one big post might take forever!

Amelia and I headed to the airport on Dec. 10th at 2am, eager to arrive at our destination that evening at 7pm.  Once again I pondered how she would be on the plane, worried that this might be the trip she has a breakdown like I see other kids have.  No worries, she was fabulous as usual....sleeping and entertaining herself with the busy items I brought along with us.

We were only in NY a couple days when Rob arrived and we headed to Ohio.  We did have some play time with cousin Livvy before our 7 hour drive south with a stop at my brother in law's mother's house, who is the most wonderful host!  Pasta from scratch, meatballs, dessert and gifts...it does not get better than that.  Thank you, thank you, thank you...we absolutely love our visits although much too short.

At Grammy's Beach (not sure how that came about), Amelia was mesmerized by Grammy's Merry Go Round.  It only seemed natural for a trip to Mansfield for the Carousel which she rode at least 10 times :)  Really, it is all about horses for Amelia.
