She donned her Barbie outfit and headed out with friends during the first snow of the season...it was colder here than in Alaska hahaha.
Decorating a house you lived in for 20 years, like ours in Alaska, is relatively easy as you know where everything goes and you purchase things particular for each nook and cranny. This year was a bit different. Had the tried and true, but made a decision to purge some items that no longer worked and made a commitment to buying a few new items next year. Here are a few photos of some that made the cut.
I made this head over 20 years ago and it has spooked enough kids to earn its forever spot on the holiday table.
We are still looking for a couple furniture pieces, so a few of our normal spots are a bit overcrowded.
This chair holds more than a kid these days. Amelia no longer fits in her little chair, but holiday decor provides its' usefulness!
I am thinking I need to make a new batch of bats too.
Amelia and I make a Christmas ornament together each year. When we moved here to Illinois we decided to make that tradition a part of Halloween, decorating pumpkins. The first year, while we were in our rental, we started big...then realizing large pumpkins will become a storage problem, we downsized the following year.
Hope everyone had a wonderful, spooky Halloween.
It's officially Christmas time for this family!
