Thanksgiving Is The Gateway To Christmas

Actually, it's Halloween that is the gateway to Christmas. I wait til I see one house decorated and up goes the Halloween decor! This is always in late September. I do this so that a day or so after Halloween it comes down and UP GOES CHRISTMAS! This means Thanksgiving is always decorated for Christmas and not so much Fall.  For the past two years we have been going to Ohio for Thanksgiving, but since we just moved and weather wasn't that great, we thought it would be nice to go back to our old tradition in Alaska ... just the three of us.

It literally takes a couple weeks to get everything where it is suppose to go.

and being a new house to us, it took even longer to find a good spot for everything.

Had to buy clips for the advent stockings, figured we would put up the Christmas stockings Christmas Eve when the advent would be done.

We put on our favorite movies and music and have a grand time.  Amelia is down by the corner putting out the nativity scene...it is tradition she does that one.

When everything is out and all the ornaments are put on both the trees, Amelia puts the angel on.  It is only then decorating is officially done.

Our Christmas card was done by Amelia and doubled as a way to tell everyone we moved :)

Next...more traditions of Christmas.
