The Wierbinski Visit - Day One

I didn't post last week as it was pretty full with my niece Liz, her boyfriend Ryan and Andrea's visit.  It was Andrea's first time on a plane and of course, her first visit past Pennsylvania.  Liz was here once before for her high school graduation present.

Since we jammed in as much as we could, I thought this whole week I would post about each day instead of all, in one or two posts, as that would be a bit extreme :)

So...here it goes.

They have arrived.

Andrea immediately said "I hate flying".  I had to remind her she was to do it again in a week.   She had a headache on the plane too and that apparently made Amelia sad, so she made her a card full of stickers to make her feel better.

First stop...Moose's Tooth for a much needed cocktail for Liz.

Photos aren't that great as I was armed only with my iPhone.

We actually made a quick stop by the airport to see if we could find a moose and scratch off the moose sighting first thing.  No luck.

Amelia and I had stopped earlier before they landed to get the pre-moose spotting, but instead had quite a story for them when they got off the plane...

We had stopped by the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail to see if we could find the moose early (they love the area by the airport)and watch a few planes come in, but instead found a lost dog named Angus.  It was quite the story, but in a nutshell....found a dog, Amelia was afraid, grabbed tag to dial number while carrying Amelia, lady said she was out looking for him, help from 2 bikers caused Angus to lose is collar....oh no...I had to pick up the kids!  Met up with owner and scouted one last time for Angus (who seemed to like my voice but not the biker man whom he was afraid of ... hence breaking free of him and his collar as now he would be lost for sure).  Spotted him further down and by the water... called owner who was headed down the trail and told her where he was.  I picked up kids.  She called and told me she found him...woo hoo.  She and I were happy...Angus too I think.

Back to refreshments.  :)

I love taking guests immediately to Moose's Tooth.  Best...pizza...ever.  I think they all agreed.

Four choices on 2 large pies...Santa's Little Helper, Garlic Lover's, Chicken Rockefeller and Apricot.  Apricot was absolutely extra delicious.

Headed home for a quick tour of the house and much needed rest ... to be fresh for the next days adventures.
