The Loudonville Fair ... again.

Our plan was to check out the tractor pulls that began the fair that day, but due to the rain they were cancelled.

I am sure Amelia thought "Oh well!  More pony rides!"

It was raining on and off...luckily I didn't bring my big camera as a few were downpours.

When we arrived  at our beloved pony tent, they were still in their stalls.  Were just waiting for us apparently :)  Yeehaw.

We would just go and check out a few exhibits so they could get the ponies all saddled up and ready to go.

Ahh...found the tractors.  Tractors are big in Ohio.

At last...pony rides.

After a few rides...we decided to do a couple non animal rides and wait for Oma to arrive.

Yep..the merry go round...who would have guessed?

A few spins with Oma and it was time for a bite to eat.

This is the place where I learned all coneys are not created equal.

I ordered a hot dog for Amelia and a coney for myself (she got a slice of peanut butter pie too).  It was almost a disaster until I reminded the gentleman preparing the food that I wanted a coney, as he was ready to slop chili on a hot dog!  WHAT?  Everyone looked confused...and a discussion ensued about coneys and what they are.  I said "just give me a hot dog".  Luckily, back in NY, I was redeemed at Heids...will post on that later :)

You guessed it...back to pony rides.

and there were several.

After a long day it was time to say goodbye to the Loudonville Fair.

It's ok...we were heading to the Mansfield Merry go round and the Prairie Peddler with Gram the next day.

Does this kid ever get tired?
