I interrupt this vacation for...Halloween :)
Since I was trying to post on our month long vacation weekly, we are a bit behind ... lacking in real time excitement I am afraid. However, I felt it necessary to interrupt for real time Halloween festivities.
Did I mention it snowed here?
Really wasn't much snow...but we made do.
That said...it would be another Alaskan Halloween for us!
Time for some pre-Halloween prep.
First...make some Halloween trail mix :) Put in anything you have in the pantry in a plastic bag...a bit of sweet and savory...add some halloween goodies (candy corn and/or orange and brown yogurt raisins), seal and shake...ENJOY!
Next...pumpkin carving.
This is our 3rd unicorn pumpkin (you will see the other 2 when I get back to the vacation posts). This one, however, utilizes a shell instead of paper for the horn. It wouldn't be Halloween with out our beloved Elmo vampire pumpkin.
Unfortunately...the next day our unicorn looked like this due to some type of critter:
There was a presentation at her pre-school on Halloween...then it was time to come home and get her cauldron of goodies from mom and dad...as well as a few mail items that arrived and a few bags from friends...wow it was like Christmas!
And for a moment...Amelia forgot that it was nearing Halloween night. She found a toy catalog, grabbed a highlighter and began circling...just like mom used to do :)
Whoa...lets get back on track! It's Halloween NIGHT!
Let's go trick or treating!
Yep...it was cold. Nope...she didn't mind.
After about 15 houses...it was time to go home and inspect the goods.
Hope everyone had a very happy Halloween!
Will be heading back in time with the next post...sans snow.
