I pondered what invite to make for Amelia's 7th birthday party. It was definitely a Disneyland theme, but she kept talking about Minnie Mouse, so I was thinking a silhouette of Minnie with a bow cut out. I even borrowed a friends silhouette machine to help with the cut out, but then thought it's not a Minnie Mouse party...it's Disneyland ...which includes Minnie :)
When we received our package from the Disneyland Hotel, it came via UPS in a box. You opened that up and found a stuffed sealed envelope that contained luggage tags, our tickets, and coupons. It was like opening a present!
AH HA! That is what I want to do for her invite....lots of goodies! So here is what I came up with.
All the graphics I downloaded off the internet and super imposed our info in Word and printed on card stock. How easy! The group shot of Mickey and the gang was from the PhotoPass package I bought 2 years ago.
I used card stock for the all the inside and the package itself used a very glossy heavier paper that I had on hand. I just cut and glued to make a pouch. Envelope was just folded and secured to fit.
I printed pretty much what was on the actual pouch we received. Obviously, didn't include luggage tags, but included a large pin button for any of the kids who were coming. You get them free at the park and I forgot to photograph them :( There were several different kinds...one birthday button Amelia will wear (I will try to remember to get picture of them at the party)...the others were from Goofy's Kitchen, Ariel's Grotto, and from other locations that read "Honorary Disneyland Citizen" and "Happily Ever After".
I wrote each kid's name on it and sprayed with glitter as they do that in locations you go to in Disney. I had collected them while we were there and a friend gave me all the ones she collected on a trip she did a couple years ago...so had plenty to chose from! Collected a few large stickers too from various places that I included as well that are not picutred.
I loved how they turned out! So easy too!
Next...busy busy busy preparing for Amelialand ..."The VERY Happiest Place on Earth". Much more to come on that.
