I just realized there is only one week before Christmas. WHAT??!!! Our year of planning is down to one week????? How could this be.
Better double post this week with a potential of a triple...lots going on.
Gingerbread Cookies...check.
Here is the recipe I used: Gingerbread Cookies
Unless you want ridiculous amounts of cookies and give them away to unsuspecting friends ... 1/2 the batch. If I had done so, perhaps Amelia would have followed thru til the end in helping me...she gave up about 1/2 way thru...typical.
A proper pic of Snowy, Amelia's snowman guarding her candy advent. Still owe you a proper pic of her polar bear stocking ...will get on that.
Lego Winter Village and all things Christmas in Legoland.
How cute is this?
Since we have a lego storage and available display problems, Amelia was quite upset that I put the Merry-Go-Round up on the sideboard..."Now I can't play with it!". I might have done that subconsciously as the Merry-Go-Round turns and the horses fly off if you attempt to twirl it as fast as you can. Yeah ... mom likes this one and maybe I don't want to put it back together every 5 minutes. Don't get me wrong ... Amelia is fantastic with Legos and is usually quite gentle. BESIDES...she can reach it. Lets move on to the cuteness.
Yep...lollipops...cakes and pies. Who doesn't smell Christmas?
Look close...2 trains. Dad has his remote...she has hers, identifiable by the Lego flowers that adorn it. They play trains daily. For some reason I didn't get a proper pic of the tunnel.
One question: WHERE IS SANTA GOING TO PUT THE PRESENTS?!
She had a little Christmas demonstration at dance this week.
She was super happy Dad got to go and glanced over at him from time to time.
They do tumbling too.
We brought these for the little party after watching the class:
And then made Rudolph noses for her preschool party yesterday. Hershey Kiss on a pretzel in a 275 oven for 3-4 minutes then press an M&M in the middle. Easy Peezy and delicious.
As they were all hopped up on sugar, these were the best pic I got of her and best bud Kayla after they sang a few Christmas Carols and handed their parents their gifts of glittered pine cones. OH MY GOSH I forgot to take a pic of that too. sigh. Add it to my list.
Kayla came over for a playdate after where they exchanged gifts.
And in true 4 year old drama, Amelia cried when Kayla had to leave. Actually...could have been the sugar rush had wore off. True buddies and I am guessing friends for life.
Our most beautiful yarn trees, proper pics and hopefully a graham cracker house ... coming soon.
