We headed down to the ceremonial start of Iditarod 2011 on a beautiful but cold day (like usual). It was Amelia’s first trek thru the snow at Campbell Park to the end of the short “for the fans” race thru Anchorage. We have done it every year since I have been here except last year where Amelia and I were in the hospital. Will make it an annual trek. Tradition states we go to Moose’s Tooth afterward, but since Amelia’s birthday party was the next day and I had a lot to do before then, we decided to forgo it just this once :)
